Fiber Circulator
Fiber circulator is a necessary component in the fiber optic network to direct an optical light signal from one port to another port sequentially in only one direction. Typical fiber circulators include 3-port type, 4-port type and 6-port type. Passing all the intermediate ports in sequence. Optical light transmitted from any of the port in such circulators can be redirected to any other port.

Main parameters of fiber optic circulator include isolation, insertion loss, and polarization dependent loss, return loss and polarization mode dispersion. Typical working wavelength for fiber circulator is at 1310nm or 1550nm. Fiber circulators are used in dispersion compensation devices and in add/drop passive WDM,MUXs/DEMUXs.
