L Band
L band is the wavelength range from 1560nm to 1610nm, here the L means long-wavelength. L band is one of the wavelength range the EDFA works at, the other range is called C band. L band is also called the blue band. Using the L band not only increases the gain bandwidth of the EDFA, but it also helps us get rid of the four-wave mixing problems in a transmission optical fiber.
