LH GBIC is the GBIC fiber optic transceiver used for long distance which is usually tens of kilometers. Typical LH GBIC use single mode optical fiber and its working wavelength at 1550nm. The LH GBIC use dual SC fiber connector interface and the module is hot swappable.

Cisco offer a LH GBIC that function both of LX and LH, its part number is WS-G5486, it could use multimode fiber link or single mode fiber link. This LH GBIC could reach 550 meters working span via multimode fiber or 10km working span via single mode fiber link. We supply LH GBIC fiber optic transceivers that are fully compatible with IEEE standards.
