SX GBIC is the GBIC fiber transceiver module operates with 1000Base-SX standard. SX GBIC works with only the multimode optical fiber, if use 62.5/125 multimode fibers the working distance are 275m max, if use 50/125 multimode fibers the working distance are 550m max.

Typical SX GBIC is Cisco WS-G5484, this SX GBIC is 1000Base-SX GBIC working at 850nm, its dimension is 1.2 in x 2.6 in x 0.4 in and it is fully compatible with IEEE standards for 1000Base-SX devices. We supply SX GBIC equivalent to transceiver WS G-5484.
