Fiber Optic Components
Fiber optic components are used to form the fiber optic networking system. Because the fiber system is much complicated than former copper wired system, components needed for fiber optic network also is sophisticated, they include but not limited to transmitters, optical fiber and receivers.

Typical fiber optic components include transceivers, optical amplifier, coupler/splitters, WDM multiplexer and demultiplexers, filter, isolator, circulator, attenuator, optical switches, wavelength converter and various function modules. Passive type and active types classify these entire fiber optic components. Passive fiber optic components mans they work without external power, while active fiber optic components need external power to work. Actually the fiber optic industry is developing so rapidly that you can find more and more new fiber optic components emerging in the market.
