The SFP-25G-LR optical module adopts a hot-swappable SFP28 package with a working wavelength of 1310nm, functioning as a full-duplex transceiver module. It achieves a maximum data rate of 25.78Gbps, features dual LC optical ports, and attains a maximum transmission distance of up to 10KM over single-mode fiber.

The SFP-25G-SR optical module is primarily utilized in 25G data centers and 5G fronthaul CPRI/eCPRI networks. The 25G network serves as an ideal upgrade from the 10G network. On one hand, the 25G network complements the 100G network, providing a more cost-effective solution compared to the higher expenses associated with establishing a 100G network. On the other hand, the 25G network requires fewer Top of Rack (ToR) switches and cables compared to the 10G network. Currently, the SFP-25G-LR optical module is widely adopted in 25G data centers.

The SFP-25G-LR optical module also adheres to multiple standards and specifications such as IEEE 802.3, SFF-8472, SFF-8402, SFF-8432, and SFF-8431. It is a single-mode SFP28 optical module with a central wavelength of 1310nm. When used with single-mode fiber, it achieves a transmission distance of up to 10km. Consequently, the SFP-25G-LR optical module is primarily applied in long-distance data transmission scenarios, with a maximum transmission distance of up to 10km. Unlike the SFP-25G-SR optical module, the SFP-25G-LR optical module utilizes a DFB laser.

The SFP28 transceiver, compatible with Cisco SFP-25G-LR-S, delivers 25GBase-LR throughput over a maximum distance of 10km through single-mode fiber (SMF). Utilizing a wavelength of 1310nm and an LC duplex connector, this transceiver combines low power consumption with high-speed capabilities, making it well-suited for applications in 25G Ethernet, telecommunications, and data centers. Additionally, it ensures interoperability, establishing a foundation for future network upgrades. Each SFP28 transceiver module undergoes individual testing within targeted switches and is fully compliant with the SFP28 MSA, CPRI, and eCPRI standards.
