The above is the Eight-Fiber MTP-LC Assembly uses a pinless connector on one end for interfacing with the QSFP port on the Cisco Nexus 6000series,The other end contains four LC uniboot connectors,which provide connectivity to the SFP+ports on the switch.The polarity of the assembly pairs the fibers from the MTP Connector from the outside to the inside;thus,fiber 1 and fiber 12 are a duplex pair,as are fiber 2 and fiber 11,etc.

MTP&MPO Difference
The term MTP is a registered trademark of US Conec, it has been the main trend in EU and US, however, you can use MPO for MTP or use MTP for MPO, the difference is slight.

MTP/MPO Machinery&Testing Equipment

The singlemode or multimode MPO fiber cable available from Huihong are multifiber connections used in high-density backplane and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) applications in data and telecommunications systems. The MPO fiber cable connector offers up to 12 times the density of standard connectors, providing significant space and cost savings.

MTP fiber optic patch cable is with the MTP fiber optic connectors which are upgrade version of the former MPO. MTP is with better mechanical and optic fiber performance compared with MPO. Both the MTP and MPO series cables are multi fiber connectors. There are many fiber optic channels in each single connector. Because of such multi fiber feature, these connectors need to use with multi fiber cables, especially the ribbon multi fiber optic cables.
