Unlike the distribution fiber cables, within breakout fiber optic patch cables the sub cable units are already 2mm or 3mm outer diameter, usually it is 4 to 48 units, so the structure is mostly like for example 48 LC to 48 SC, at one side of the cable it is 48 LC connectors, at the other side it is 48 SC connectors, the breakout part is already 2mm or 3mm outer diameter, same as common simplex fiber optic patch cord.
