Cisco Xenpak is one of the Cisco 10Gbps fiber optic transceiver modules, Cisco Xenpak is developed based on the Xenpak Multi-source Agreement (MSA) which was instigated by Agilent Technologies and Agere Systems. Cisco Xenpak is fully compatible with the IEEE 802.3ae standards for 10G Ethernet as required by Xenpak MSA. Typical single mode Cisco Xenpak transceivers are Xenpak-10gb-LR, Xenpak-10gb-LW, Xenpak-10gb-ER, Xenpak-10gb-ZR; these transceivers operate with single mode optical fiber and their working distance range from 10km to 80km max.
